Television

As the Astra satellites will not be renewed at their end-of-life, we have choosen to go for TV via the Internet.

We realize that this is not the most friendly way to watch your favourite channels, but had no alternative.

So how does it work?

Switch on the TV on the Samsung remote control.

Switch on the Eurobox red button on the right upperside of the Eurobox remote control.

 

The most important buttons are:

• the menu-button (left under OK)

• the OK-button

• the TV button

 

If in doubt use the manual which is in the IPTV box under the television.

The problem with IPTV in this part of Spain is the bandwith of the incoming signal.

As we do not have a landline we use WiFi from 'La Alternativa' from Chiclana. Because most people in San Andres are using IPTV via WiFi the bandwith has decreased dramatically. At the current price 4G is no option to us for the connection to the Internet, so we keep it this way for the time being.

If the broadcast stutters or even comes to a complete standstill, it can be handy to switch off all of your mobile phones, tablets or other devices that use WiFi. If everything fails, restart the Eurobox by unplugging the powercord on the backside left and plug it in again.
